After today’s jam-packed event, Apple has published the full keynote video from this year’s WWDC. Apple has also released the promo videos used during the keynote showing off iOS 10’s newest features and a video dedicated to developers. On the same page with the full keynote page, Apple lists the preview pages showcasing what we’ll be seeing in the official software releases later this fall.
Today’s keynote saw Mac OS X being renamed to macOS and its next iteration being called Sierra. Sierra’s preview page puts a heavy focus on Siri’s introduction to macOS, alongside previewing Auto Unlock with the Apple Watch and Apple Pay on the web. iOS 10’s preview page is strewn with screenshots of all the new features coming to iOS 10’s iMessage which makes it seem like a social network unto itself. The screenshots also show off the even more “bubbly” UI iOS 10 is introducing.
watchOS 3’s preview page shows the care Apple put into improving the OS as a whole from the top down. Better speeds and more watch faces are the highlights here. tvOS’s preview page uses the attention grabbing dark option to show off the new UI tweaks coming in the latest version. Apple also has a preview page showing off the new iPad specific app, Swift Playgrounds.
On Apple’s official YouTube account, the company uploaded two new videos, New Beginnings and iOS 10 – Hey Hi Hello. The first video shows the diversity of iOS developers and all the different age ranges they occupy. It’s a heart warming video that really tries to drive home the “you too can do it” point of iOS development. The second video takes viewers on a high paced journey through the multitude of new features hitting iOS 10. From bubbly text messages that add personality to the conversation, to the integrated third-party apps and Siri.
